Boost your Immune System with these 4 Magical Drinks

With the second wave of Covid-19 hitting the country, people are working really hard to boost their immune systems. Immunity booster herbal tea.

Herbal tea (kadha) is a homemade traditional drink that has numerous benefits and healing properties.  Apart from boosting your immune system, this tea will relax your mind and body, maintain the temperature of your body, improve the quality of your skin, strengthen your stomach health, and much more.

Ingredients:

  • 7-8 – Fresh tulsi leaves/ 1 tsp – Tulsi powder
  • 1/2 inch – Ginger/ Saunth
  • 1/2 tsp – Ajwain
  • 1 tsp – jaggery Powder
  • 1/2 tsp – Black pepper
  • 2 tsp – Green tea leaves
  • 1/2 tsp – Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp – Turmeric

Steps: 

Mix all the ingredients in 400 ml water and boil for 15-20 minutes on low heat. Pour it in a cup and squeeze lemon juice and enjoy!

Try having 2-3 cups throughout the day especially on an empty stomach to give a quick boost to your immune sytem.

Turmeric Shot for your Immune system.

Turmeric is known as one of the healthiest medicinal spices of India. It is definitely present in every Indian household – either in the kitchen, or your grandmother’s home remedy box. It is among the richest food sources of Iron and known to be magical for your immune system.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp – Black pepper
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 Glass – Lukewarm water
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric powder/Grated Turmeric

Steps

Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder or grated turmeric with half a teaspoon of black pepper powder to lukewarm water. Give it a good stir and add a teaspoon of lemon juice and drink up!

It is ideal to consume it on an empty stomach and before bed.

Kanji the magical drink

Kanji is a natural probiotic drink that can ward off a respiratory infection. Probiotics help us in boosting our immune system and increase the production of natural antibodies. 

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1-2  peeled and chopped beetroot
  • 5-6 chopped carrots
  • 6-7 cups water 
  • 1 tbsp salt (according to taste)

Steps

Mix all the ingredients in a glass jar and cover it with a lid or cotton cloth. Let the jar relax in a sunny spot for at least 7-8 days but don’t forget to stir it with a wooden spoon daily. Soon kanji will develop a tangy flavor, and as a result, the drink will be fermented.  Then strain and keep the drink in the refrigerator to chill before drinking.

Carrot and Orange Juice for your immune system

 

This Carrot Orange Juice is a powerhouse and one of the best combinations. This juice is a wonderful immunity-boosting drink. If you want to cleanse your body thoroughly, and boost energy, or have glowing skin from the inside this is the juice for you! Ingredients

  • 1 medium tomato, 
  • 1 medium orange,4 large carrots, peeled
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Steps

Add chopped tomato, carrot and peeled orange in a mixing jar and take out the juice. Fill your glass with ice, if needed,  then pour the juice into the glass. Drink immediately and enjoy.
